Even with the International Tennis Tournament so near, people still tend to slack around. >[ ...Actually, it seems everyone in the team's more chaotic than ever... Must be high with the coming holidays...

Hmm. Holidays, huh... I'm not sure if I should be glad Christmas is approaching so fast... -__-; Work's going really tough on our parents during this season, so this year, Moto and I decided to help out in whatever way we could. There is a long list of orphanges, home for the aged, daycares and health centers around the Kanto area that needs attention. We plan to visit a number of of those and volunteer our services.

It'll be mostly cheering up the kids and the patients at the centers, distributing gifts and presents, and generally keeping them company... Holiday season is special for everyone, and those who have been left behind and forgotten by their loved ones shouldn't be an exception.

Ah, I was wondering... Does any of you have old toys and clothes willing to donate? ^^ Oh and anyone who wants to help out is also welcome~

This news about Atobe-san being kidnapped is awful. I do hope he'll be found soon, safe and unharmed.

Ah... to everyone with whom I've been... eh... testy recently, I'm sorry. Between stressing over that incident with the court needlessly, it appeared, having to deal with a very weird Culture day, and... some other things, I'm not in the best of moods. I'll be better once this month is over, for sure.

Sengoku, hey, sorry. Can't make it there tonight. Something came up. Lunch in the rooftop tomorrow instead? ^^

.......Can somebody please explain why our our green tennis courts had turned into THIS?

...I'm sorry I can't find this as amusing as Banji did, because you know, unlike him, I can't possibly make up some ridiculous excuse and escape responsibility..............Principal Takagi will have my head for this.

Someone in the team must really hate me... T__T

I just received the okay to join the team practices again. ^^ This is a good news, since some senpai are beginning to say I'm just using my buchou-powers to slack off... I'd never do that. I plan to make use of the weekends and any other free time I have to catch up with all the training everyone else did.

It's kinda ironic though. Just when I'm able to play again, it's Higashikata who got injured next. He said it's from a traffic accident. Fractured arm, doctors say, and it might take two months before he's fully healed. It's good it wasn't any worse than that but... at this point, I need to start looking for a temporary Doubles partner. -__-; Easier said than done though.

Anyway, it feels good to be back home. ^^  I stayed over at Sengoku's several days more after he got better, since he insisted I tutor him for the classes he missed even if it's obvious he got the lessons right the first few hours. Duo's almost forgotten me and attacked me, probably thinking I was a burglar. -__-; Either Moto trained him pretty good, or I really am that forgettable. Now, I have to win his love back again. Nothing that a bag of his favorite treat wouldn't fix, I'm sure~

To Yamabuki Tennis Club members:

Hey, everyone.

I guess Sengoku told you what happened. Both of us can't make it to school today, so I'll leave you guys to Higashikata for a while. As a result of that unfortunate trip, I injured my leg a bit. That means I won't be able to play for a few weeks as per doctors' orders. I'll still be able to oversee the practices though, so no slacking off, alright?

Anyway, how's practice? I'm assuming, of course, that all of you finished those edurance training courses... Next up will be Doubles' training. I think Banji would like to try out some new Doubles pairs... Oh and for Singles players who are beginning to grin happily at this, no. Doubles' training week is not a good news. That only meant more endurance training for you. So... good luck~!

Questions or complaints, or threats to my well-being? ^^;

Well, National's done. Too bad we lost, but there wasn't any helping to it. Still, I'm proud of the way everyone played. Yamabuki may not be known for its members' discipline over at practice and training, but I know everyone has the right passion for the game and determination to win. It's just... not for us this time. We'll have to try again next year, won't we? ^^ Too bad though, I didn't get to play against Jackal and Marui-san. It would have been wonderful facing them in an official match.

Oh, but it's good to know Dan-kun's doing well over at the junior high division. ^^ It's really surprising how much he improved playing tennis, and it looks like he finally discovered his true playing style... I'm sure it took lots of hard work, so I'm really proud of him. ^^

Hmm, but I'm glad tournaments are over. I can finally relax again... Somewhat. -___- Things are rather... busy at our house these past few weeks. I think my mother just started a cooking club for her friends. Iron Chef-esque. It's scary, coming home to find some of her lady friends rushing to and from the kitchen, and yelling at each other for ingredients and such. It's even scarier when they pull me aside to judge their dishes. They look all disappointed in me whenever I say they're all good. I wonder why. I'm no food expert! -___-; My brother and a certain redhead seem to enjoy these meetings though... They said it's very educational. I say they enjoy it because of the free food.

Ugh. Maybe it's high time to visit that temple...

[OOC: ARGH! Something's wrong with my brain... I can't seem to come up with words to put in writing! >____> Those who know me around DA would notice I'm drawing a lot lately, and I swear that's like the only thing my brain wanted me to do the last few weeks... So to those I'm logging with, I'm really sorry for the super long delays! >___> This is my attempt to write again, and it took almost the whole night! UGH! *sigh* But I shall still attempt to update myother muses' journals too~! Tomorrow, hopefully! ^___^;]

Wow. It's been a while since I used this. Ah, exactly a month? Hm, I guess it's because the tournaments are coming up soon. With school, and the extra hours for training, no wonder I forgot all about this. But vacation's just a few week's away, so I guess I can write more regularly again.

.......And this is the point where I curse my plain-ness since there's nothing particularly remarkable that happened to me lately. Yeah. The whole month long. -__-; And that counts the various mishaps during tennis practice, the typical Yamabuki chaos, Banji's random bursts of cruelty, and the ocassional acts of violence courtesy of Akutsu.

Ah, anyway Jackal. Do you mind me dropping by sometime this week? Mom wants to send some cup cakes over. ^^; She thought Noé-kun would love them... And I... need to ask you something. If it's alright?

[ooc: My posting powers are starting to come back~! *relieved* So yeah, I'll be able to post more regularly again... ^^ And haha, Urayama's post is so tempting me to pick Dan for my 3rd muse... ^___^; ]

Even this journal thing just have to remind me it's my birthday in two days, doesn't it? -__-;  Now even if I want to forget it, I can't.

Hmm, Higashikata mentioned reading about a temple up in the moutains the other day... Maybe I should visit it for my birthday?

Banji informed me that there will be a schoolwide leadership seminar tomorrow. That means the two most eminent members of all clubs and organizations in Yamabuki must be present: president/vice president, captain/vice captain, etc... It's supposed to help us develop leadership traits to lead our clubs better, but I still believe it's counter-productive. I bet a number of clubs will die after this weekend... -_-

I attended one during middle school, and ugh, I never thought I'm going to have to get through that pain again. -_-; It was politics, in a smaller scale. But the pointless debates, the snide remarks, the hypocrite acts are the same... It's tiring to deal with. And that's only in middle school. It's bound to be worse now in high school...

The bright side on this is that my vice captain wouldn't ditch me for a date this time. ^^ At least someone will suffer with me.

Ugh. Sick. I don't think I can make it to school today. But I'll definitely go tomorrow. Missing one day of class is bad enough...

......Sengoku, I'm leaving the team to you for a while. You know the drill. And if Kai and Ryou's arguments get any worse, have them settle it in a match rather than beating each other up.

Really, they should realize they're on the same team now...

Today, we welcomed the newest addition to our household: Duo. Moto named him after that Gundam Wing character, the pilot of Death Scythe. Since the puppy is all black, it kinda fits, and the little guy seemed to like the name anyway. He's responding to it already. ^^

Ah, but I have to aplogize again, Jackal-san. I didn't mean to arrive so late. But my bad luck keeps interfering on the way over there. -_-;  And yet despite the late hour, you still welcomed me. ^^ Thank you for the hospitality.

Other than that, it has been more or less a fairly normal week... and I'm really glad for that. After the last few weeks, I really appreciate the... uneventful days.

Regular selection matches are finally over. Everyone's well-prepared for it this time unlike last year which was nothing short of disastrous and everyone showed wonderful matches. There are still various hitches, but it's typical Yamabuki scenario Akutsu-induced mostly, so it's not so bad. -_-; The regulars are finally selected and after talking it out with Banji, the line up is done as well. Eh, but the announcements can wait in the morning...

Ah, such a long day. But it's not over yet. There's still lots to do before I turn in for the night. Fortunately, my match was scheduled yesterday, so I'm not as tired as I was the day before. Still got some History essay to write, a book review for Literature... Haha, I haven't even finished the book yet. ^^;

Oh, and I finally remembered what's been bugging me the last few weeks. It was Mother's Day last Sunday, and I had brought Mom a three-day stay in an onsen weeks before. I wonder why I even forgot about it in the first place... Ah, but good thing I remembered before the reservation expired. She's been working really hard lately, so I'm glad she was able to relax and enjoy herself.

The long holiday's making me feel restless. I can't seem to stay still at all. Everytime I try to relax and enjoy the break, I always end up doing something else instead. Let's see... there's the Doubles training with Higashikata every morning, the usual one-on-one basketball match with my brother in the afternoons, writing reports for Banjii, some Kyudo practice with Dad... Exhausting, yeah. But despite that, I still feel there's something I ought to do which I keep forgetting. -_-; Something to do with this month...

Ah, anyway. Jackal-san? Sorry I had to cancel on you last week. I'll be able to go there tomorrow for sure. ^^

Yamabuki Tennis Club Notice

To Yamabuki Tennis Club members:

Please be reminded that there will be no morning and afternoon practice on May 6th 'til May 9th (Wed-Sat).

The long break, however, is not an excuse to slack off. The regulars selection matches shall begin on the morning practice Monday next week, May 11th. Schedules and divisions of matches will be posted in the club room as early as Thursday, May 7th.

Everyone, work hard for it.

(ooc: I'm not really sure how Yamabuki selects its regulars but, I assume they have matches for it as well, not unlike Seigaku. That, or Banji selects the regulars himself by observing the matches. And like the SeiRu people, I'll assume the few Yamabuki peeps here made regulars as well: Minami, Sengoku, Kai and Hirakoba. And because that's only half of the required number, let's assume assume some NPCs got in as well. >.> ...I assume too much... If I'm wrong about something, please hit me, 'cause I really know nothing about this stuff. >.>)

Saturday was fun. ^^; Really, when did I get so boring that a simple trip to usual hangouts became ridiculously enjoyable? Ahaha, that probably meant I should really go out more often. Hopefully, my social life can still be saved. ^^ ...I'll need all the help I can get though, as it's obvious I'm not good enough yet. ^^; I feel bad I had to bore Fujiyama-san like that, and she's a really nice person too. But... I guess she's better off with someone livelier and entertaining.

Sengoku? Thanks... for the effort anyway. Again, it isn't your fault. If there's anything to blame, it should be my 'jimi'-ness. ^^; Hm, and next time we go out will be better, wouldn't it? ^^

Ah, and speaking of going out, I'll be heading to Kanagawa sometime this week to visit Jackal-san and see the puppies. ^^ It's been lonely around the house ever since Rover died a few months back, so a puppy would definitely be a welcome addition to the family.

When Banjii-san told me I was made captain, I expected trouble and a lot of headaches. Middle school had been had been difficult enough, but now, with me just being 2nd year, it turned to something worse. -_- It was unheard of in Yamabuki, so the third year members didn't exactly give me a warm welcome. My captaincy was challenged to a match, and I had to play Doujima-senpai to a Singles match. Needless to say, I lost.

But as I'm primarily a Doubles player, I asked for a re-match in a Doubles game, with a promise I'll step down if they could defeat me in my field of specialization. They agreed. Higashikata wasn't around, so I had to ask Sengoku to play with me instead. Ahaha~! And that match was horrible, at least during the first few games...  Sengoku's not used in playing Doubles, and I kept using sign play, which just confused him. ^^; Aa, but we came up with a good plan, and we won.

Well, with that problem sorted out, the next phase is to recruit more club members. It's too bad we lost Muromachi-kun from our ranks. His absence will be a large void to fill.

Ah, anyway. I'm looking forward to this weekend. ^^ I'm nervous, but I hope it'll go well.

Yo, minna.

I finally gave in and made myself a journal, as I’ve been told repeatedly and so annoyingly I lack any socialization skills, and this is a good way to start with. And it is, surprisingly, seeing as there are lots of familiar names around here. It’ll be good to catch up to some of them.

To anyone who doesn’t know me yet, as well as those who’ve forgotten me there are many, I'm sure, I’m Minami Kentarou, second year in Yamabuki. Nice to meet you. ^^
